Please pay attention to the winter antifreeze guide for laser cutting machines!

As the temperature gradually drops, the daily antifreeze work of laser cutting machines needs to be put on the agenda.

When the ambient temperature is lower than 0°C, liquid water will condense into ice and become larger, causing pipeline blockage and damaging components (including chillers, lasers, cutting heads, etc.). The basic principle of laser cutting machine for steel metal antifreeze is to prevent the coolant in it from reaching the "freezing point". There are several specific methods.

1. Normal use of equipment

Add 30% tank volume of antifreeze

Add 30% tank volume of antifreeze

Drain the corresponding amount of water, then add the same amount of antifreeze from the water inlet

Precaution

(1) The newly added antifreeze will cause the water tank flow alarm due to its relatively high concentration. It is recommended to start and stop several times until the alarm goes off. If there are other alarms, please contact the local customer service engineer in time.

(2) When the minimum temperature of the working environment is continuously higher than 5 degrees, all the water can be released, add pure water to rinse for half an hour, drain, and then add deionized water or distilled water.

There are two types of antifreeze suitable for laser systems:

(1) Antifrogen®N glycol-water type (industrial supplies, toxic to humans)

(2) Antifrogen®L propylene glycol-water type (food grade, harmless to human body)

Note: Propylene glycol-water type is prohibited!

[Special Note] The antifreeze replacement cycle is 90 days. After the spring water does not freeze, let go of the antifreeze and replace it with pure water. Antifreeze cannot be reused.


2. Laser iron sheet cutting machine the equipment needs to be shut down for a long time

method

Clean up the water in the water pipe, laser, and optical fiber; clean up the water in the cutting head and the water tank.

【optical fiber】

A water pipe about 10 cm is left at the fiber optic nozzle. If you blow it from one side with your mouth, the water will flow out from the other side.

Note: Keep water pipes of appropriate length on both sides to prevent water from splashing on the cutting head.

【laser】

① Raycus and IPG lasers

Blow 2 kg of compressed air from the water inlet to let the water flow out from the water outlet.

【Cutting head】

Blow out all cooling water with your mouth.

【Water cooler】

Turn on all the high-temperature water and low-temperature water switches of the chiller, then open the water outlet to drain it all, and finally open the sheet metal to drain it from the water pump outlet.

【water pipe】

Remove each water pipe from the water tank and laser fiber cutting head, and then blow it clean with 4 kg of compressed air.


3. The equipment is running but it is too late to add antifreeze

(1) Carefully check all water pipe connections to ensure that there is no water leakage.

(2) The tank power remains on.

(3) Note that if there is a water inlet solenoid valve inside the Raycus laser, the main power supply of the laser, the 24V power supply and the water tank must not be closed.

(4) In this case, the power supply of the power station cannot be cut off.
